Whyteleafe, La Belle Miette

Just as quickly as I said “I should have more time for posting!” I immediately ran out of time. That’s just how it is sometimes. :’)

La Belle Miette:

Here’s a recap of my outing to La Belle Miette at the start of this month. I’ve been feeling really run down from work, life, and general existing, so any excuse to wind down with my favourite tea and macarons will do~

La Belle Miette is located in the heart of the city, but once inside you feel like you’re in a quiet little bubble of your own in comparison to the hustle and bustle of city life.

Here are some photos I took last year of La Belle Miette when I last visited. The decor looks like it’s been taken straight out of a french illustration book. Who needs to travel when a tiny France exists here? 😀

It should be noted that my favourite tea lives here – Marriage Frères ‘Marco Polo’. It has a soft sweetness, which combined with it’s velvety flavour, makes it simply irresistible to me. As much as I am tempted to try a different tea when I come here, I always end up with another pot of Marco Polo. :’)

Here are some photos of inside La Belle Miette when we visited, just taken with my phone because we didn’t want to be ‘those guys’ with the big DSLR looming over the table. 😀

The wall of tea is truly a beautiful sight. A dangerous sight for my purse, too. 😉

And here we are enjoying our tea and macarons! I feel like wearing Mary Magdalene and Innocent World were the right choices for the location, the brands suit the aesthetic so well.

La Belle Miette is the perfect quiet retreat for those days where you just want to watch the world go by for a little while. Even though the variety of food and beverages are limited to tea and macarons, I find myself spending a good amount of time here, about an hour or so. It’s also been recommended to me as a nice space to bring a sketchbook or a small project along. I can see how the peaceful surroundings would suit this perfectly.

Outfit Rundown:

OP: Mary Magdalene
Tights: Sweet Dreamer
Shoes: Bodyline
Bag: Innocent World
Headband: Offbrand

I chose to wear out my amethyst coloured Whyteleafe OP, by Mary Magdalene. It’s such a beautiful, deep shade of violet, truly irresistible.

Here’s an additional close-up to show this cute bag (and slightly the pattern on my tights which just doesn’t want to appear no matter how hard I try…)

I realise I have to recap my first half of 2018 outfits too, so expect that some day……when more time appears in my never-ending schedule. ;o;

Thanks for reading! 🙂
