Magical Cosmetics, Udon Appreciation

It’s been a rollercoaster of a month, but I’m doing my best to keep on top of things. :’)

A few weeks ago I organised a small picnic and udon get-together with some close friends that I don’t get to see very often. We played the Australian Cards Against Humanity which was filled with many laughs, caught many Pokemon on Pokemon GO (we situated ourselves right between two Pokestops which allowed us to use double lures), and then headed out for an early udon dinner as the sun started to set.

Outfit Rundown:

OP: Bodyline
Everything Else: Offbrand

A very casual outfit indeed! Most of what I wore was off brand, either sourced online, at swap meets or thrifted like the bag – and isn’t it just the cutest? ๐Ÿ˜€ This is my comfiest Bodyline piece, and also the piece I have owned for the longest that I haven’t sold offย (if we don’t include my first ever dress which is a tragically thin AP replica). I just love it so much, I feel like eventually I will buy it in another colour way.

Udon For Days:

Along Bourke Street Mall in Melbourne, you can find this welcoming udon restaurant named ‘Udon Yasan’ which follows the design of a traditional Japanese restaurant. I love the atmosphere and how kind the employees are, but most of all I love the udon! I frequent this place with a friend at least once a fortnight, I have no shame. :’D

As a self-confessed glutton, when we arrived at the udon restaurant a few of my friends who don’t usually see me eat were shocked to see me order the double size, and then pile a heap of toppings on top of my already filled bowl. They didn’t think I could finish it, but I am always a winner when it comes to food. ๐Ÿ˜‰

You are weak, my dear friends.

(That delicious looking chicken on my friend’s side-platter? that’s also mine ๐Ÿ˜‰ )

My favourite selection from their menu is the Sukiyaki Beef udon, the meat is so melty-good. The broth is deliciously fish-flavoured, but not overpowering enough to fight with the other flavours. As you can see, I dump a whole lot of seaweed onto my udon because I looooove seaweed, but they also have other selections too like fish flakes, spring onions, sesame seeds, chilli powder and more.

I don’t usually talk about food places but gosh, udon is my life. ;w;

I start back at uni next week and I’m behind on my weekly mannequin coord photographing, but I’ll do my best to keep up! Thanks for reading as always. ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. Sounds like you’ve had a wonderful time! That coord is so cute too and I really like that bag of yours! Really adorable ๐Ÿ™‚ And that food does look delicious and anyway, it’d be a waste not to finish it all! ๐Ÿ˜›
